Service/Location: Aspens – Linnets Cornford Lane, Pembury, Kent, TN2 4QU

Here at Linnets we enjoy supporting the service users to live their lives to the full, improving their quality of life while pursuing things that makes them happy and as independent as possible.

Linnets is an eight bedded house supporting individuals with high dependency complex needs all with learning disabilities ranging from moderate to severe.

Our dedicated team of support workers support service users with activities of daily living such as personal care, preparing meals and keeping the environment safe and homely. We also support with leisure activities such as swimming, horse-riding, shopping, trampolining, day trips, meals out, cinema and holidays amongst other things.

We are a fun supportive team that work together to give the very best to the people we support.

37 hours per week (long days or early/late shifts, including some weekends)

Support Worker Requirements

  • An Individual with a level 2 Diploma/NVQ in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards the qualification

  • Flexibility to work shifts including some weekends and sleep in duties and willing to support on service user holidays

  • Support worker / Carer Experience

  • Positive ‘can-do’ Attitude

  • Friendly, Positive, Calm and Helpful

  • Good problem solving skills

  • Good Sense of Humour

  • Team worker

  • Flexible and Trustworthy

  • Patient and Caring Attitude

  • Good at listening

  • Willing to learn

The ideal support worker should be able to work as part of a team, be confident, caring, able to assist with recording finances, medication & writing and recording daily information. Drivers are preferable due to location

Pay and Benefits

  • Hourly rate of £8.57 per hour
