Senior Support Worker

Hours: Full Time 37 hours per week, shift patterns will vary, must be able to work earlies, lates and weekend shifts

Service/Location: St Saviours, St Leonards on Sea

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic, reliable and resilient Senior Support Worker who would like to join our growing Aspens family, based at one of our residential homes in St Leonards on Sea.

You will need to be a ‘people person’ who enjoys building relationships and motivating others to reach their full potential. Flexibility, a ‘can do’ attitude and a sense of humour is a must too! Aside from this, you will need to be able to work independently, as well as part of a team and have experience of working with vulnerable people or those with complex needs and have experience and/ or a passion for enhancing individuals quality of life through positive behaviour support.

Your role will be to support the management and take the lead in service delivery within our residential Service and support residence who receive 24hr care.  You will be expected to carry out daily tasks as well as senior duties.

Our ideal candidate will:

  •  Have a Diploma/NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Have experience of supporting individuals that may present with behaviour of concern
  • Have a good understanding and knowledge of the needs of people with ASD, OCD and learning disabilities
  • Have supervisory/management experience
  • Be highly motivated and be able to work on their own initiative
  • Be well organised
  • Have a passion and enthusiasm for delivering quality services to vulnerable people
  • Have a full driving licence

 Evenings and weekend shifts will be a requirement of this role.
