Senior Support Worker – Outreach & Supported Living
Hours: Shift patterns vary, must be flexible – some weekdays, weekends, evenings and sleep-in shifts
Service/Location: Littlehampton, West Sussex

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic, reliable and resilient Senior Support Worker who would like to join our growing Aspens family, based at our Outreach & Supported Living site in Littlehampton.

You’ll need to be a ‘people person’ who enjoys building relationships and motivating others to reach their full potential. Flexibility, a ‘can do’ attitude and a sense of humour are a must too! Aside from this, you will need to be able to work independently, as well as part of a team and have experience of working with vulnerable people or those with complex needs.

Your role will be to support the management and take the lead in service delivery within our Outreach Service and our Supported Living setting for two adult siblings with Autism, where 24-hour support is provided.

Activities which we enjoy with our Service Users include: cookery, art, bowling, days out to places of interest, pottery, holidays, horse riding and many more. No two days are ever the same for us and we need enthusiastic staff who enjoy supporting individuals with on-site and off-site activities. For this reason, you must hold a full UK driving licence, and have access to your own vehicle.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have a Diploma/NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Have Experience with challenging behaviours
  • Have a good understanding & knowledge of the needs of people with learning difficulties
  • Have supervisory/management experience
  • Be highly motivated and be able to work on their own initiative
  • Be well organised
  • Have a passion and enthusiasm for delivering quality services to vulnerable people
  • Have a full driving licence

Some sleep-in shifts, evenings and weekend shifts will be a requirement of this role.
