Community Support Worker / Care Assistant

Hours: Part Time and Full Time hours available

Location: Tunbridge Wells

Are you looking for a change in your career? Do you have empathy, excellent communication skills and a sense of humour? Would you like to make a difference to someone’s life? Then this job is for you!

We are currently recruiting Community Support Workers / Carers in Tonbridge & Tunbridge Wells areas. We have full-time and part-time hours available.

You will be supporting adults with mild learning difficulties, who live in the community, both in their own homes & in our supported living facilities, to develop their day-to-day living skills. Shopping, cooking, housework, paying household bills, applying for benefits or attending GP appointments, as well as participating in social activities such as days out and bowling.

You will be able to make a real difference to vulnerable people’s lives by assisting them in gaining the skills and confidence to become as independent as possible.

You don’t need experience in the care industry, as we will provide you with a full induction and the training required for this job, but a passion for supporting people is essential.

A driving licence would be an advantage but is not essential as long as you are able to get to our services. Shifts are generally between 7.30am and 11pm Monday to Sunday, including bank holidays so flexibility is vital. You may also be required to ‘sleep in’ on occasions.

In return you’ll receive competitive pay and benefits and get to be part of a fantastic organisation.

About us: Following the coming together of two leading care providers in Sussex and Kent, Aspens is united in offering over 100 years of experience in helping children, young people and adults with a range of disabilities, those on the autism spectrum, and/or those with complex needs. Through the provision of highly personalised support, we aspire to enable people to learn new skills, live life to the full and contribute to society however possible.
