Support Worker
Hours:  Shift Patterns will vary, see patterns below
Service/Location: Cornford Lane, Pembury, Kent, TN2 4QU

 

At Aspens, the people we support and care for enjoy an active and fulfilling life, based in a residential setting,  in a stunning woodland site in Pembury.

Some activities our service users enjoy include going swimming, trips to theme parks, days at the seaside, art activities and beauty therapy. No two days are the same, every day will bring an exciting new challenge.

Shift Patterns can include:

7.30am-10.00pm (14.5 hour days, rolling rota – one day on, two days off)

1:1 shifts are available & patterns will vary

The ideal candidate should have experience with conditions such as Autism, be able to work as part of a team, be flexible in their approach to changing situations, be confident, caring, able to assist with recording finances, medication & writing and recording daily information. Drivers are preferable.
Some sleep-in shifts will be a requirement of this role.

Ideally, you will:

  • Have a Diploma/NVQ in Health & Social Care or, be willing to work towards the qualification.
  • Have experience with challenging behaviours
  • Be highly motivated and be able to work on their own initiative
  • Have a passion and enthusiasm for delivering quality services to vulnerable people
  • Be able to demonstrate empathy whilst enabling people to maximise their independence
  • Have a full driving licence
